Open Class prize at the Ekka →

Are you heading to the Ekka this year?  If so, and you're into art, drop in to the Painting and Drawing Exhibition for a look - I decided to enter a couple of paintings for the first time in over 6 years so I was wrapped to find out that my painting 'The Sunnies' won first prize in the Open Class section and another received a commendation in the Still Life section.  Think I might venture over today for a look....

'The Sunnies' featured on Channel 7 news

Thanks to my mother-in-law for alerting me that my painting 'The Sunnies' (a portrait of my favourite muse - Bec) was given a feature on Channel 7 tonight!!  I've submitted this and two other paintings to the Ekka this year...so thanks journalist Rhea Abraham and Channel 7 much appreciated!

Another Mandarin finds a new home....

Mandarin 5 just sold at the Lethbridge Gallery - hope it's a welcome addition to it's new home, nice and fresh to enchance that beautiful summer feeling!

New Portrait

Blocking in a new portrait of my daughter - love painting her though she is a very fidgety model!  Luckily I know her face so well, and thank God for photographs :)
